Overview Oni is the fixed network telecommunications market leader in Portugal. Oni wanted to replace its existing webMethods middleware solution which no longer responded to the telco provider's business requirements. The challenge was to support shortcomings displayed by the supplier, which led to a delay in the installation of certain upgrades. Moreover, the company needed to improve processes performance and reduce middleware maintenance cost. Oni deployed BEA systems for its solution and implemented BEA WebLogic Platform 8.1 to reduce costs and simplify processes.
