BEA Systems Case Study: StarHub

Overview StarHub is Singapore's second largest info-communication company and the sole operator delivering a full range of information, communications and entertainment services over fixed, cable, mobile and Internet platforms. StarHub needed to accelerate time-to-market for its new products and simplify service activation, as well as automate and streamline manual, paper-based processes. StarHub embarked on a core IT strategy to create a Common Service Framework (CSF) that could support its various IT initiatives to meet its business mission. CSF adheres to the principle of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), providing a centralized service management layer as the foundation of StarHub's IT architecture, promoting reuse. StarHub selected BEA to build its CSF based on several factors, including its strong Business Process Management (BPM) capabilities.
