School District Saves Hundreds of Support Hours With Operating System Upgrade
Overview The Perry School District, in central Iowa, has about 1,850 students enrolled in grades kindergarten through 12. The district uses technology very effectively to create a productive learning environment. However, an increase in malicious software downloads and unauthorized system changes impaired computers and caused performance problems. With the help of Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Heartland Technology Solutions, the Perry Schools deployed Windows Vista to more than 200 PCs used by students and faculty. Thanks to features like Windows User Account Control and Windows Resource Protection, the schools have virtually eliminated problems caused by malicious software and unauthorized system changes.
