Service-Oriented Architecture White Papers

Largest Argentine Wireless Operator Implements SOA

Overview Business-critical systems had become problematic. There were issues related to performance, scalability and application availability. The systems were no longer able to meet the demands of a world-class telecommunications service provider. Telecom Personal worked with BEA to design a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). The SOA was implemented on BEA Tuxedo. The first two systems deployed on the SOA were for payment processing and customer self-service. The SOA has helped Telecom Personal become more agile and competitive in the market. Application development is 50 percent faster. Application performance and availability have improved considerably, and customer satisfaction and revenue are growing.
