BEA Systems Case Study: Lufthansa Technik

Overview Lufthansa Technik needed a powerful instrument to more efficiently control materials supply. The aim was to create a continuous and complete overview of complex business processes and an intelligent search function. An electronic track and trace system was built on the powerful, resilient, and scalable BEA WebLogic Server infrastructure. Rules engine includes up to 20 million codes to enable logical process chains and make it possible to search flexibly for individual elements. This shortened throughput times, reduced materials inventories, and minimized supply risks. The deployment of BEA WebLogic Server also led to comprehensive improvement in service quality and customer satisfaction.
