Portal for German Financial Consultancy Delivers Return on Investment in 15 Months

Overview Independent financial consultancy company AWD started its own Intranet for the current headcount of some 6,000 AWD financial consultants at a relatively early stage. Increasingly, it emerged that there was an urgent need for transparent structures, effective management of rights and users, and a coherent profile of integrated business processes based on reusable applications. AWD deployed a Service-Oriented Architecture based on BEA WebLogic Portal to underpin company's Intranet platform. It provides AWD with the capability for fluid interplay between numerous flexible interdisciplinary applications using a uniform, user-friendly interface.
