Knowledge Management Portal Delivers High Quality Healthcare Information

Overview NHS 24 wanted to provide innovative means of delivering progressive, joined-up public sector healthcare and create a flexible and adaptive portal based on a service infrastructure. NHS 24 deployed BEA AquaLogic User Interaction to create a Knowledge Management System (KMS) which underpins the national health information, clinical assessment, advice, and referral service for Scotland. NHS 24 is the main gateway to out-of-hours care in Scotland, linking patients with local NHS primary care out-of-hours services, Accident and Emergency departments, and the Scottish Ambulance Service. This provided patients with timely information via a single point of access.
