BAMF Automates New Integration Procedures

Overview The Bundesamt fur Migration und Fluchtlinge (BAMFs) IT department needed to implement a procedure in which it could integrate a large number of external authorities and course providers - each with its own heterogeneous IT system. To achieve this, BAMF required a flexible, platform-independent system that can also map the entire procedure precisely. The agency therefore chose to develop a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) using Oracle. The organization implemented Oracle Database for data storage, Oracle Application Server for the middle tier, and Oracle BPEL Process Manager for Web processes. BAMF considered these products to have great potential to support its newly-mandated role.
