Delivering Innovative Patient Care, Thanks to Belgium's First Nortel 10 Gigabit Hospital Network

Overview Jan Yperman Hospital wanted to ensure that all three buildings could work as one to support the latest technologies, for the benefit of staff and patients. The Hospital also wanted to introduce wireless VoIP, as well as location-based services to track and monitor patients and vital medical equipment. The Hospital deployed Nortel for its solution and implemented Nortel Ethernet Routing Switch 8600 core at the new Hospital, plus Nortel Ethernet Routing Switches 5530, 5520 and 5510s throughout the three sites.
