Nortel Networks Case Study: University of West Georgia
Overview The University of West Georgia serves 10,000-plus students and proudly proclaims its motto of "Educational Excellence in a Personal Environment." They wanted uniform telephone service across campus, and they needed the flexibility to serve 43 buildings with varying densities of phone lines - from 5 to 20 people in smaller houses that serve as office buildings to three new residence halls they were building to accommodate 600 to 700 students. The University of West Georgia deployed the Nortel Communication Server 1000M.
