With the Help of Dell and Oracle Partnership, Silver Cross Hospital Launches Web Portal

Overview Silver Cross Hospital's IT team initiated a global "Anywhere, anytime" technology strategy. As part of this philosophy, physicians and clinicians need secure and remote access to applications, patient records, images, Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and desktop documents. Dell partnered with Oracle to deliver a seamless Web portal solution consisting of Oracle applications running on Dell PowerEdge 2850 servers, F5 BIG-IP load balancing appliances, a VMWare solution for application distribution and an EMC CX700 SAN, which were all provided by Dell. As a result physicians and clinicians are able to access important data and their applications securely through the Internet.
