Overview Photo Violation Technologies wanted to encourage sales of high-tech parking meters to municipal customers and find a cost-effective alternative to cellular technology. The challenge was to gain better control of wireless network operations and develop new municipal opportunities beyond the core business. The company deployed a Cisco Outdoor Wireless Solution which provides wireless data connectivity to municipal parking meters, Wi-Fi technology provides sufficient bandwidth for wireless transmission of license plate photos, multiple channels that allow the company to offer both Internet access and parking meter services to its municipal customers and Free Internet access is available within 300 feet of each PhotoViolationMeter parking meter.
