Build It to Move: The Architecture of Pervasive Computing

Overview In today's global economy, people struggle to access information via cell phones, IVR systems, personal digital assistants, and personal computers. Users of these devices need to be able to access critical information anytime, from anyplace - despite a myriad of devices supported by different operating systems, with differing protocols and languages. Pervasive computing, or PvC, untangles this knot of protocols and operating systems to allow access to information anywhere, anytime in a secure manner. It allows data to be delivered efficiently, effectively, and economically to any device, no matter what the hour or how distant the user's location.
