Securing Email: Best Practices in ILM Security
Overview This paper describes Security best practices for major email systems such as Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino, and SendMail in the context of Information Lifecycle Management (ILM). The primary focus of this paper is on email implemented in storage networking environments. Most recommendations are independent of storage type. Email Servers using DAS for primary storage are nonetheless often backed up using network methods, so this will be discussed from the security viewpoint as well.
