Overview Object Computing, Inc. (OCI) is a software engineering firm, specializing in distributed systems using Object-Oriented (OO) technologies. Their primary focus is infrastructure consulting using open-source high performance middleware. OCI's open source, commercial grade products help customers across multiple industries implement their business and e-commerce applications, as well as scientific solutions. OCI has to ensure that their solution is portable and works correctly across all supported platforms. OCI chose the Sun Solaris Operating System for the AMD Opteron platform for its speed. It allows them to test and fix their customer's problems faster than ever before, and then compile the solution on Solaris for the SPARC platform.
