Overview Mitsubishi Power Systems (MPS) has implemented a new system for remote monitoring of the gas turbines it provides to customers worldwide. MPS based the system on Sun Fire servers, Sun StorEdge devices and database and applications from Oracle Corporation. The system satisfies short-term customer needs by providing contact center agents with timely and accurate answers to customer questions. It also satisfies long term needs by capturing information in a data warehouse for determining better ways to serve customers. MPS is experiencing superb availability, performance, and a range of unique functionality that comprises an important competitive differentiator for the company.
