Overview Emerson wanted to standardize its technology infrastructure companywide. The challenge was to provide its various divisions with easier access to critical data, operational efficiencies, and cost savings. By 2007, nearly 60 percent of the company standardized on Oracle E-Business Suite running on the Sun platform. Today, Emerson's Sun investment consists of: 2 Sun Fire 12K servers, Sun Fire 4800 server, 12 Sun Fire V880 servers, 2 Sun StorEdge L100 tape libraries and Solaris Operating System.
