Overview Travel Overland has been established in the German market as the leading provider of flight tickets for more than 25 years. Reduced commission rates from airlines in September 2004 has exerted further pressure on travel agents in a business that is already characterized by low margins. Travel Overland implemented automation of order processing, and execution to reduce costs of online bookings. BEA WebLogic Integration provided impressive performance in the test scenario with optimum integration capability for different applications, excellent documentation, and enhanced support. Automated online booking process eliminated requirement for manual inputs, and has significantly reduced processing costs, and through put times for each booking. In the next stage, the company's travel agents, and call centers are scheduled to be linked up with automated fulfillment.
