Overview The second largest retail bank in Finland, OP Bank Group has a long history of inhouse mainframe, Windows, and Unix-based application development. Their vision was to create one view of the bank to their customers and one view from their customers. OP Bank Group would be poised to consolidate its position as the leading Finnish financial services organization. To achieve this, OP Bank Group needed to integrate its infrastructure and deliver an open platform for multi-channel integration and development. They were an existing BEA customer, having deployed BEA WebLogic Server in 2002. Even back then, the bank's development team knew a good application server when they saw one. They evaluated BEA WebLogic Server against IBM WebSphere and other application servers.
