Overview The Marketing & Sales division of Deutsche Post World Net identified the requirement for an online portal, as part of a group-wide value-added program. This portal needed to allow personalization and it had to cover a range of brands. It also had to facilitate one-to-one dialogue with customers, thereby yielding cost savings and capitalizing on cross-selling and up-selling opportunities. The company is developing the portals 'my-deutschepost.de' and 'mydhl.de' using BEA WebLogic Platform. The portals enable every user to put together their individual personal product and service portfolio. User-friendly access to the broad range of services is provided by a common single sign-on between portals and specialist applications.
