Overview With 400 people and operations in over 40 countries, the Microsoft Business Productivity Solutions Group (BPSG) is responsible for helping business customers make greater use of Microsoft Office services and related client applications for business productivity solutions. As part of that process, the Microsoft Information Worker (IW) Finance group delivers monthly reports to sales managers that inform and drive business strategy. However, the reporting processes were largely manual and static, making it difficult to customize them as needed. IW Finance sought a solution to create more timely reports with greater flexibility for improved insight into business. The group implemented a business intelligence solution that streamlined and improved report generation and provided worldwide sales managers the flexible reporting and analysis they needed to help them meet sales objectives.
