Overview Sprint-Nextel MIDP 2.0 Power Vision and Multi-Media handset devices come with a Sprint-Nextel Production Root Certificate that is active on all Sprint MIDP 2.0 handsets. This certificate requires that a JavaME MIDP 2.0 application be signed with a Sprint-Nextel Production Certificate in order for a JavaME application to gain access to MIDP 2.0 APIs. There is also, the very popular Sprint-Nextel Developer Root Certificate, which is the primary focus of this technical note. The Sprint-Nextel Developer Root Certificate comes pre-installed on Sprint-Nextel MIDP 2.0 Power Vision and Multi-Media handset devices but is set to inactive on these devices.
