SumTotal Systems Case Study: Capgemini

Overview With offices across Europe, North America and the Asia-Pacific region, Paris-based Capgemini is one of the world's foremost providers of consulting, technology, and outsourcing services. To keep tabs on performance, Capgemini had put in place a technology-based system for performance management. Initially, most managers performed their employee reviews with the software. But, as each year passed, the percentage of managers completing reviews dropped from a high of 80 percent, in 2001, to 53 percent, in 2003. The inefficiencies in the system's reporting capability and stability made it challenging for administrators to quickly and accurately document and track performance. In 2004, Capgemini chose SumTotal to manage employee performance reviews.
