File and Network Servers White Papers

Texcel LLC Uses Biscom Delivery Server (BDS) to Eliminate Email Attachment File Size Issues, Take the Burden Off Their Mail Server, and Send Large 3D Modeling and Design Files to Their Clients Quickly, Easily, and Securely

Overview Texcel provides their world-wide customer base with medical device products and process development. Texcel has a department of twenty-five engineers who use SolidWorks, a 3D modeling and design software application, to create medical device drawings. The engineers work collaboratively with each other, as well as with their clients. Because specifications and designs are constantly changing, Texcel employees needed a way to send the large files back and forth internally, as well as externally, to their clients, without bogging down the company's mail server. Texcel uses BDS, a clientless, Web-based secure file transfer solution that enables enterprise-class secure file transfer. Data transfer is authenticated and delivered directly from point to point.
