Overview This paper introduces the concept of mediation in the context of the System Integration Bus, all-new to the recently released IBM WebSphere Application Server 6.0 (WAS). Mediations are part of the smart infrastructure that enables better application integration by processing in-flight messages as they are being delivered from producers to consumers. This paper describes how to write the first mediation and attach it to a destination. The mediation will reroute messages to a different destination. The paper will show step-by-step how to create, eploy, and test the mediation.
