TechNet Webcast: Agility Now (Part 09 of 10): Managing the Environment From Microsoft Systems Management Server 2003 R2 (Level 200)
Overview The presenter of this webcast explains how to take Systems Management Server (SMS) beyond Operating System Deployment (OSD) and into the change and configuration role. The presenter shows how Contoso uses SMS to view inventory levels of their computers for both hardware and software, and how they ensure the security levels of all their computers are known and documented. The presenter also explores how to push software updates out to the client computers that require them, and most importantly, how to use the Inventory Tool for Microsoft Updates (ITMU) to ensure that all computers have the latest updates for any potential security risks.
