TechNet Webcast: Moving to the Managed Desktop Environment (Part 1 of 2) (Level 200)
Overview This webcast focuses on a scenario in which multiple hardware configurations exist. These heterogeneous systems are having an adverse effect on costs, productivity, and security at the fictional company, Contoso. To address these issues, the company's IT group has defined standard desktop images with standard applications for deployment to all hardware configurations across the organization. The attendee will learn how the company accomplishes these goals by using the Microsoft Solution Accelerator for Business Desktop Deployment (BDD) to establish a single, standardized deployment environment, and by using Remote Installation Services (RIS) create a standard desktop.
