ParkwayHealth Singapore Reduces Total Cost of Ownership by 40%
Overview In 2004, ParkwayHealth decided it was time for a complete technology refresh. The healthcare provider's existing SAP-based technology platform had proven to be inflexible and costly to maintain. The organization went to tender for applications infrastructure to replace the existing SAP R/3 implementation and an IS-H MED hospital system at the front end. ParkwayHealth required a central IT system to manage financials, materials purchasing, and human resources across the three hospitals. In early 2007, the organization began a project to implement a number of Oracle E-Business Suite modules at its central data center. The modules were linked to Oracle Database 10g and a custom-designed ParkwayHealth Hospital Information System, currently in development.
