Italian Institute for Foreign Trade Improves Business Processes With Integrated Financial Infrastructure
Overview The Italian Institute for Foreign Trade (ICE) is a public sector organization responsible for developing, facilitating, and promoting Italy's international economic and commercial ties - with a special focus on the needs of smaller enterprises and associations of emerging businesses. ICE wanted to replace it's legacy financial applications with an integrated architecture to support expanding business requirements and resolve multicurrency issues related to ICE's international operations. The challenge was to integrate and improve management of financial processes. ICE implemented Oracle Financials to create an integrated financial management system that helps to improve operational efficiency and support future growth and relied on Software Design's expertise in reporting, order management, and receivables to customize the Oracle modules to meet the unique needs of ICE's international offices.
