Nationwide Building Society to Make Significant Savings Through Improved Purchasing Processes

Overview Nationwide Building Society wanted to leverage best-practice financial and purchasing management to gain real-time monitoring and control, and drive accountability as well as realize efficiencies by streamlining, standardizing, and automating key business processes enterprise wide. The challenge was to reduce the number of customized or "Off-system" processes and cut cycle times and administration costs through self service. Nationwide Building Society upgraded to Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise Financials 8.9 following Oracle's Applications Unlimited commitment to continue to launch new releases for its acquired solution suites and migrated Nationwide and Portman rapidly onto a single general ledger for the newly merged company.
