ConGES Consulting Embeds Security, Scalability, and Performance Into Real-Time Collaboration for Utilities
Overview Multi-utility consultancy ConGES develops turnkey mobile solutions that enable field engineers working for regional energy and water providers to capture orders, measure consumption, and monitor assets using PDAs or laptops. ConGES wanted to guarantee rapid, automatic, bidirectional rules-based data synchronization between field engineers and back-office staff and eliminate risk of transmission failure or communication delays. The challenge was to provide unrivalled security for customers' business-critical data and build scalable solutions to support growing user numbers. ConGES replaced legacy embedded database with Oracle Database Lite to ensure seamless, reliable data exchange between mobile devices operating on multiple platforms and the corporate Oracle Database and benefited from the unparalleled scalability of Oracle Database Lite to ensure no communication delays or failures in two years.
