SAS Data Integration Server Performance on IBM Mainframe Running z/OS

Overview SAS and IBM have begun a series of performance test efforts of SAS products on z/OS. The SAS Data Integration benchmarking scenario results highlighted in this paper. The SAS Data Integration benchmark scenario provides several retail-based tests and data that simulate real-world customer ETL processes. The test executed on z/OS builds and loads a star schema data mart. This process is a typical effort completed by a customer creating a data mart for use by SAS Enterprise BI Server.
