IBM System Storage DR550 and Content Manager OnDemand for IBM System i
Overview The purpose of this paper is to describe the implementation of IBM Content Manager OnDemand for iSeries with IBM System Storage DR550. In the past Archive Storage Manager (ASM) was the only storage manager for Content Manager OnDemand on i5/OS server. Content Manager OnDemand (OnDemand or CM OD) for iSeries now supports IBM System Storage DR5503. TSM / SSAM can now be used in addition to, or in place of, ASM on i5/OS server. SSAM refers to System Storage Archive Manager. SSAM was formerly known as TSM for Data Retention and is the key component IBM System Storage DR550. When mentioning SSAM throughout this paper it also refers to DR550.
