Starting the DMGR on a Different MVS Image
Overview The purpose of this paper is to explain how to start the WebSphere Application Server for z/OS V6 Deployment Manager on an MVS image different from the one on which it was originally built. The Deployment Manager is designed to support this, but it still requires some planning and effort on your part to effect the change. This paper provides information on how it's done. In other words, how to make the Deployment Manager "mobile." For the V6 Deployment Manager, the ability to be "mobile" was made a bit more complicated by the introduction of the "High Availability Manager" (HAM) function.
