Publish/Subscribe Interactions in WebSphere Process Server and WebSphere ESB

Overview The well-known publish/subscribe interaction pattern supports one of the key principles of service oriented architectures - loose coupling. In the context of publish/subscribe, the publisher or producer of a message or event does not know about any potential subscriber or consumer of that message or event. Only a topic couples the publisher and subscriber; publishers publish to a topic and subscribers subscribe to a topic. The underlying messaging or event infrastructure is responsible for delivery from publisher to subscribers.
