Get Started With Model-Driven Development Using the Design Pattern Toolkit - Part 2: Accessing the DPTK Data Model
Overview The Design Pattern ToolKit (DPTK) is an Eclipse-enabled template engine for generating applications based on customizable, model-driven architecture transformations. This paper discusses details on how to access the model data from the templates. Authoring Design Pattern ToolKit (DPTK) patterns requires familiarity with two subject areas: how to access the data model and how to use the available DPTK tags. The focus of this paper is on the first topic, discussing the DPTK query language (which is very similar to abbreviated XPath), along with several simple tags that read the model and write the data directly to the template output.
