Overview Union Gas, a major Canadian natural gas utility, was just keeping up with the demands of a deregulated environment when the industry moved to unbundle utility services putting an impossible demand on the company's information technology infrastructure. The utility's solution is an enhanced version of its Unionline online system, now powered by Microsoft BizTalk Server and other Microsoft .NET Enterprise Servers. Thanks to BizTalk Server, Union Gas systems are more accurate, more accessible, and more responsive to customers. And the utility has avoided an estimated $500,000 cost associated with providing unbundled services.
