Stateful Inspection Firewall Session Table Architecture and Timeouts

Overview Stateful Inspection has become a classical technology for network firewall. By analyzing existed timeout processing mechanism of Stateful Inspection, new session table architecture with dynamical timeouts is proposed. The new architecture can improve performances of both timeout processing and session entry updating. Furthermore, dynamical timeouts according to resource utilizations can improve securities of both protected hosts and firewall itself against DoS attacks.
