Bank Mandiri Uses Portal to Streamline Company-Wide Information Sharing
Overview PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk, the largest Indonesian bank in terms of total assets, loans and deposits, offers a broad range of banking products and services to its customers. With 956 branches and cash outlets across Indonesia, it previously relied solely on its fortnightly internal magazine to circulate critical information to managers, group heads, and employees. The Bank also required an effective way to distribute critical information, send out and archive signed authorizations, and automate workflows company-wide. It decided to participate in Microsoft Technical Adoption Program (TAP), and move to Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. This allows it to benefit from its interoperability with the 2007 Microsoft Office system Open XML file format, and has significantly improved information dissemination and document management.
