Overview Keen to maximise the return on its investment in SAP R/3, the Al Batha Group (Al Batha) decided to sharpen its competitive edge by automating field operations. It chose RouteTrac, a route accounting (field sales) solution from Vxceed Technologies built on the Microsoft .NET Framework. Although RouteTrac delivered precisely the functionality Al Batha was looking for, success of the deployment hinged largely on tight integration between the automated route accounting solution and the backend SAP R/3 system. Al Batha chose Microsoft BizTalk Server 2002 as the integration solution. Leveraging the Microsoft BizTalk Adapter for SAP, Al Batha has been able to achieve all of its ambitious integration, functionality, reliability, data integrity, and error handling objectives.
