Overview Many IT executives today are looking at consolidating IT operations for several reasons. First, the rash of mergers and acquisitions dictates a rationalization of duplicate processes and infrastructure. Third, concerns about power and cooling costs and general environmental inefficiency are leading to maximizing the efficiency of every system.
