HP Data Center Services: Infrastructure

Overview Those who run data center, are probably aware that in general the facilities themselves have not evolved half as quickly as the technology they host. Processor speeds have skyrocketed; servers and storage modules have become increasingly compact; and valuable floor space, though being used more efficiently, is at more of a premium than ever due to pressure from IT projects and computing demand. Yet in the face of all this progress, data center facilities remain relatively unchanged. They struggle to cool and power increasingly dense equipment, and as they do, they drive utility expenses consistently higher. Cooling data centers and equipment now costs the same to cool the technology as to compute in the first place.
