Overview This paper describes the Univa UD solution for delivering SAP on a Data Center One-managed infrastructure - including an SAP architecture analysis, pain points, solution overview, detailed ROI calculation, and benefits delivered. For a typical SAP customer, the implementation landscape consists of a large number of dedicated application servers: A single SAP implementation consists of multiple applications (e.g. R/3, CRM, BW, etc.), each of these applications requires multiple environments for development, quality assurance / testing, and production (additional environments such as sandbox, training, load balancing, failover, and pre-production may also be required) and in many cases, individual application environments are themselves three-tier architectures, each with its own dedicated server.
