TechNet Webcast: Inside Application Layer Filtering (Level 300)

Overview How safe is the firewall? Buffer overruns, mail viruses, and other attacks penetrate many corporate firewalls and use protocols such as HTTP, SMTP and FTP to defeat port-based rules and pass attacks inside data streams. This webcast shows how Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2004 features such as URL filtration, pre-authentication, syntax checking, and intelligent content inspection help deliver a high-degree of protection through application awareness. The attendee will understand the SMTP filter model and the HTTP filtering engine, and see how these integrate with Internet Information Services 6.0, Microsoft Exchange Server 2003, and the Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service to help form a well-defined defensive strategy.
