TechNet Webcast: Threat Mitigation for Legacy Systems (Level 200)

Overview Legacy computer systems are often the focus of unwanted attention from attackers because their existence implies an elevated level of trust or interaction with internal applications that are critical to the organization. Given that legacy systems are already perceived as vulnerable, this makes them a natural choice for further scrutiny from attackers. This webcast looks at the steps and considerations involved in securing older systems, including the roles and physical locations that these systems inhabit in the environment. The attendee will learn how, by examining the design and configuration of the entire network, one can create logical points to restrict the amount of hostile traffic as much as possible before it reaches the older systems.
