SAP's Adaptive Computing on IBM System p: Implementation Guide
Overview This paper describes the approaches to optimize the management of an SAP system landscape. The central idea builds on the virtualization of the layers such as services (SAP application components), computing resources and a central storage device. This complements the undisputed virtualization technologies (e.g. micropartitioning, virtual I/O, shared processor LPARs) of IBM, leading to increased flexibility and easier management of planned downtimes.
