Overview HP-UX linker and dynamic loader provide linking and loading functionalities supported in Unix (SVR4 (System V Release 4) standards). The linker toolset uses the ELF (Executable and Linking File format) object file format on Integrity systems and PA64 systems, and the SOM (System Object Module) file format on PA32 systems. This paper discusses the most recent product information on HP-UX Linker and Libraries Version B.11.61 for HP 9000 systems and Version B.12.46 for Integrity systems that are running HP-UX 11i v1, HP-UX 11i v2, and HP-UX 11i v3.
