Cisco Dynamic Flow Control for Online Gaming
Overview This paper describes a solution that enables service providers to offer differentiated services to subscribers based on popular online gaming products in use today, as well as in the future. The paper remains focused on the PCMM complex, with aggregation provided by the Cisco 7600 Series Router which subsequently feeds into a core network that typically includes the Cisco CRS-1 Carrier Routing System and Cisco Service Control Engines (SCEs) for deep packet inspection of online gaming traffic. The DFC for online gaming solution develops network designs and migration strategies to enable customers to migrate toward a PCMM-based network infrastructure for all their multi-service bandwidth-control needs.
