High Availability for Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Using LCR With HP Continuous Access and the HP EVA8000

Overview The launch of Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 (Exchange Server 2007) brings long-awaited embedded High Availability (HA) features such as Local Continuous Replication (LCR) which, among many other benefits, optimizes hardware investments while providing for local and site-wide disasters by implementing local or site replication. When used in conjunction with HP's Continuous Access replication, LCR can replace legacy replication mechanisms to efficiently and effectively protect against site-wide disasters. In this project, the authors tested LCR for remote disaster recovery using a 5,000-user, 100 MB/user mailbox configuration for testing.
