Extending Oracle SQL Developer

Overview There are times when a tool does exactly what one needs it to do and times when one feels that a tool would suit the user better if a few extra features had been implemented. Suppose a tool one use regularly does not include some key functionality one needs, and now suppose the tool is extensible so that one can include that functionality. Oracle SQL Developer provides the framework for the user to do just that. Whether one is a DBA or a database developer, one can add context menus in Oracle SQL Developer to execute a SQL statement or more-involved wizard-driven dialog boxes that step the user through a process.
